Category C1 is the licence group required to drive a van between 3,500 and 7,500kg. The course is for candidates who passed their car driving test on or after 01st January 1997 with no acquired rights and is typically designed for:
- Motorhome
- Small Truck
- Large horse box
- Candidates training to be a paramedic

Once candidates have passed the LGV theory tests and completed an assessment drive the practical element of their training can then be planned.
Practical Training
Typically drivers looking to obtain the C1 licence with the initial CPC will require a 12 hour training block & generally a 10 hour training block without the CPC.
C1 Training is priced at £65 per hour including VAT and is delivered in 4 hour sessions, the DVSA module 3a reverse test is £40 and the module 3b road drive test is £115. . This can be completed over 3 consecutive half days or 1.5 days.
